The 80th Sturgis RallyThe Sturgis Rally was originally scheduled for Aug 1 to the 8th and bands and entertainment were booked. The City of Sturgis decided to break an 80-year tradition and move the “official rally” to the 2nd week of August. This places us in a very bad position as no one knows which week people will come and it has now created even a greater problem with the general public avoiding the area for now a two-week period.
The Nature of a Summer Business As a “summer” business we have 8-10 weeks to generate a year’s capitol to run the park both in open and closed season with many payments running year-round.
